SOUL SINGER, NIKKI LAOYE RELEASES "VICTORY BELONGS TO JESUS" (ACOUSTIC COVER) IN CELEBRATION OF HER 11 YEARS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

Multiple Award winning Singer, Nikki Laoye has just released a soulful acoustic version of the popular worship song, "Victory Belongs to Jesus" as she celebrates her 11th year in the Music Industry.

The song was originally performed by Grammy Nominated American singer, Todd Dulaney whom Nikki had earlier met and interviewed for her radio show, Girls Rock With Nikki Laoye, while she was on tour earlier this year in the United States of America.

Speaking about the song, Nikki shares: "Everyone knows that I have a special soft spot for this song. It totally encapsulates all that God has done for me and my family over the past 11 years - a reminder that through the Good, The Bad and even The Ugly, I still had the Victory through Christ Jesus as All things were working out for my Good.

Ever since the first day I heard it, the song spoke my heart and with the help of my friend/rhythm guitarist, Nelson, I produced and recorded my version of the song in March 2017 before I travelled on tour to the States but wasn't ready to release it at the time.

I didn't even know that I would be meeting the man behind the song on that trip but God, who knew what the song meant to me, orchestrated it all and I got to tell Todd Dulaney about the cover and the impact of his music on my life.

The Song says it all for me - It's definitely been 11 Years of God's goodness, favor and mercy through the highs and lows since I began my solo music career in 2006.

11 Years and I'm still Standing!! Yes.. It's been 11 VICTORIOUS YEARS with Jesus right by my side.. Yes, the #VictoryBelongsToJesus & I am grateful that He called me & made me a blessing - A VOICE OF LOVE & HOPE IN THIS GENERATION.

Now I am gearing up to do more. I haven't even started..

NELSON JASON, THE SONGWRITER BEHIND NIKKI LAOYE'S HIT SONG, ONLY YOU, RELEASES HIS DEBUT SINGLE - "MOST HIGH"

After many years of working behind the scenes with longtime friend/singer, Nikki Laoye and penning her award winning hit song, Only You, Nelson Jason now steps to the fore with his debut single, “MOST HIGH”.

Nelson Jason is a singer, songwriter, rhythm guitarist and producer who lives in the city of Lagos with a passion to create music that would inspire worship in the hearts of men. 

His debut single was born out of a heart of worship to his God and King.
In his words, “As I was prepping for service one Tuesday evening, I began singing the words “blessing and honour, glory and power be unto you Lord , Most High” and I continued singing these words till I got to church, got on the piano and continued till it became a full song – my heartfelt celebration of the Most High God”.

The song ‘Most High’ is captured in a blend of soft rock and R&B with a simple sing along melody that is set to tune up your worship all day and all week.

MORE ABOUT NELSON JASON

Graduate of Law from the University of Ibadan, Nelson Jason has served as the Music Director at House On The Rock Church, Ibadan. 

He also served as background vocalist for the great Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Jessica Reedy at the 2015 edition of The Experience Concert in Lagos. 

He is presently the Technical Director of Nikki Laoye’s band, in which he also plays the rhythm guitar and sings background vocals.

As a songwriter, Nelson Jason has co-written songs for Artists and Organisations including Nikki Laoye’s Only You ;  House On the Rock Lagos Church's Welcome Song (which he co-wrote with Wilson Joel) and songs from Gospel Artist, Enkay’s Kingdom Anthem Album ( I Need You (feat. Onos & Nikki Laoye), Kingdom Anthem, A Touch)

Nelson Jason is also the convener of the Nelson & Friends Live in concert which is renowned for its five successful concerts at the University of Ibadan and two more at Iye L.G.A, during his youth corps service in Ekiti state.

He currently serves as a member of the Rock Cathedral Gospel Choir at House on The Rock, Lagos.

"Yahweh Halleluyah" by Spaghetti Records' Monique is another powerful tool of worship birthed by the Holy Spirit and delivered through the mouth of the Gospel minstrel.

US BASED NIGERIAN GOSPEL ARTIST, ADAORA RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE, "I COME" | @AdaoraMusic

After a brief hiatus since the collaboration with Obiwon on her dance single, "Take My Praise" in 2015, Adaora returns with the new single, "I Come" - a soulful song of surrender and worship to the Great King of all.

"I Come" is one of the singles off Adaora's recent EP album, "Nothing Can Hold Me Down" and as with all Adaora's projects, the songs on this EP were inspired in a place of worship.
