Award winning Gospel Duo, Mary Mary are all geared up for their own reality tv show, MARY MARY, which premieres on Thursday 29th of March on WE TV (Women Entertainment TV network in the United States of America.
About the Show
Sister duo, Erica and Tina Campbell make up the multi-Grammy award winning Gospel group Mary Mary. Balancing busy lives of worldwide recording artists with the demands of being both mothers and wives is challenging, especially when working closely with family. Their manager, Mitch Solarek, has doubts that stylist/sister Goo is capable of the level of styling required for what he has in mind. Constantly challenging Goo Goo, Mitch wants her replaced. This does not sit well with Goo, who doesn’t hide her disdain for Mitch. Mary Mary’s family and professional team can’t seem to get along which causes major upheaval for the duo.
Mitch is determined to make Erica and Tina Campbell household names. Unfortunately, Mitch’s professional aspirations often conflict with Erica and Tina’s desire to be attentive wives and mothers. Erica and Tina grew up in the humble surroundings of Inglewood, CA. The closest sisters out of nine children, their mother, Honey, raised them with the work ethic they have today. They grew up putting family first, and now, as successful performers, family is a big part of how they run their business. That doesn’t mean they don’t have their share of arguments; these sisters are serious about their careers, and although the family bond is strong, their fights are fierce!
Tina and her husband, Teddy, have four children. Erica and her husband, Warryn, have two small children and are expecting another. Despite the glamorous life of Mary Mary on the road, at home it’s very different. Luckily for Erica and Tina, their supportive husbands also work in the music business and understand the challenges they face. Warryn is the successful producer to Mary Mary, and Tina’s husband, Teddy, is The Tonight Show’s drummer. In the end, family trumps all, but Mary Mary’s music is their true passion, and they are determined to reach even greater heights.
