Talented gospel artist, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya popularly known as Pastor J has announced the birth of his new record label, Firehouse Records. A label expected to play a major role in reversing the exodus of gospel artistes to secular music due to the perceived unprofitability of the gospel music industry.
The energetic artiste and performer who is the first to be signed on to the label has also re-launched his career with a brand new single titled Mr. Wonder.
The label will be working with SoundCore Media, a media and entertainment consulting firm headed by Mr. Tony Nwakalor as principal consultant to create high value business strategy to position Firehouse Records as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigeria music scene as a whole regardless of genre.
The label would in the medium to long term provide an avenue for truly talented gospel acts to showcase their talent and yield the requisite financial returns.
An exceptional young man, Jimmy is a gifted artiste and has released a few gospel themed, rap inflected singles including Mr. Capable which were well received and earned him the respect of music lovers and music industry stakeholders. He studied at the Oral Roberts University for his first degree and graduated top of his class in the MBA programme of the same university.
The new single, Mr Wonder was produced by Wizzy Pro and mixed and mastered by prolific sound engineer, Suka.
