Remember the young lady whose very raw and uncut question led to Omawunmi walking out of an interview? Her name is Zinnia and she is in the news again!
After the release of her first official single and video "Bongo" featuring Cameroon's kingkong Stanley Enow, and a follow up single "Madam Makossa", the Queen is back with another bang "Colo.
"Colo" draws from the genres of afro pop and a little bit of the Cameroonian Bamileke fusion. The concept of the song revolves around a woman offering herself to a man and insisting on a love bond, with humour and class to go with.
The hard-hitting cut owes production credits to singer and producers Muno and Chrisstring while Kultcha Mix held down the mixing and mastering bit.
In the video aptly directed by Coby Films, the Cameroonian Diva is seen following the guy everywhere he runs; imposing herself whilst still maintaining her fervent feminine stance. Never one to disappoint as a performer, Zinnia delivered with choreography, slickly hitting her steps in a range of ultra sultry costumes like a seasoned pro.
“Unpredictable” is gradually becoming Zinnia's trademark, and we imagine there’ll be more surprises and excitement on the horizon.
