Up coming Las Gidi rapper, Base One has been settin up ripples in the music underground scene for a while, with previously released singles such as "Five Fingas", "Kondo Tayin" and more due to his msuical resemblance to the Late Da Grin.
Now, the nu kid on the block, Base One has just released a nu hit single, "SURULERE", with cool flows and vibes that remind you of the yoruba laced rap; naija-flavored sound, that we've all come to love, and he brings it all alive once again.
A huge fan of Da Grin, Base One had plans to do a collaboration with the ace rapper before he passed on.
To commemorate his death, Base One created a duet version of Da Grin"s Pon Pon Pon with his own playful song "Ewure", which had the two of em,dropping bars back to back on the extended remix version of the hit track. (see video below)
Head bopping, feet tapping music is what Base One is bringing to the fresh musical waves of 2011. SURULERE was produced by Gray Jon'z and Xblaze (Nikki Laoye's producer/brother)
You'll definately keep your finger on the repeat button.
