Nigerian Hip Hop artiste Imohtal shares a balanced diet of good music titled "Medicine and Juice". According to him, the medicine is the message, the juice is the beat.

Imoh Daniel Akpan a.k.a Imohtal is a rapper, singer and songwriter. A native of Akwa Ibom state. He has a background in Architecture and Graphic Design from Yaba College of Technology and NIIT respectively.

He grew up paying attention to music around him and honed his skills by singing and rapping on instrumentals. In church, instead of singing with the choir or congregation, he would create a rap off what the instrumentalists played.

Influenced by a lot of rap, contemporary and worship music, Imohtal believes music is all about celebration with conjunctions to information and education and that it is important to be a voice for the people.

As a Christian emcee, Imohtal believes we (gospel artists) should look to God, the creator of music for inspiration and not pattern our sound after the hit-makers on secular radio - we should be original - and that controversy and creativity is good for Christian hiphop. We shouldn't be afraid of them.

Imohtal primarily hopes to promote God and raise the bar for Christian hiphop and gospel music both locally and internationally, besides having some major awards.

NIGERIAN ACTRESS, RAHAMA SADAU RESPONDS TO BAN BY THE HAUSA MOVIE INDUSTRY OVER ROLE IN MUSIC VIDEO

News filtered across social media this morning of the recent ban by the Hausa Movie Industry (The Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) of popular Kannywood actress,  Rahama Sadau, for playing a love interest and for her subtle hugging and touching in a recent music video, "I Love You" by Jos HipHop Artist, Classiq

The actress has finally released a statement today, stating she was only acting out her role as required with all necessary protocols duly observed.

"Following the events of the last few days and MOPPAN’s unilateral decision to exclude me from the Hausa indigenous film industry, known as Kannywood, I would like to use this medium to address my fans, friends, those who have been affected and all who have shown concern. To those who I have offended in any way, shape or form and who I have caused any anxiety by featuring in the said music video, I sincerely apologise.  

It was a job and I was carrying out my role in my profession, as I would in any other production, be it a Hausa language film or a Nollywood production. However, innocuous touching with other people in my line of work is inevitable.  

I have lines that I would never cross and indeed I live and stand by the tenets, “actions are judged according to intentions”.  

The outcome of the events that have taken place has come as a surprise to us all. I may have fallen short of some people’s expectations, but it was never my intention. I make no excuses for my actions and I take full responsibility.  

Thank you to all those who have reached out at this time and to everyone in general for your unwavering support. Your passion and loyalty hasn’t gone unnoticed and I am privileged to have your support. This, I do not take for granted and I want nothing more than to continue making you all proud. I implore us all to be more tolerant and forgiving towards one another and to cease all the senseless abuse, name-calling and backbiting. NIGERIAN COMEDIAN, BASKETMOUTH LOSES MUM.

Top Nigerian Comedian Basketmouth has just lost his mum.

She passed away last night October 3rd after a brief illness. 

The comedian broke the sad news on his Instagram page.

"Last night my angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it's the deepest pain I've ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today, I've loved you through the tough times. I've loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy". - May her soul rest in peace Amen.

We sympathize with Basketmouth and his family at this time and we pray for God's peace upon them

AMERICAN SINGER, KIRK FRANKLIN'S DAUGHTER GETS MARRIED | HIS EMOTIONAL NOTE TO HER

Gospel Award winning singer, Kirk Franklin gave out his daughter, Carrington's hand in marriage few days ago as she got married to a Nigerian, Maxx-Nakwaasah, at a lovely ceremony held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

The wedding was officiated by Kirk Franklin, who is also an ordained Pastor as he joined the couple in holy matrimony.

Expressing his feelings on instagram, the loving father shared a touching note with a throwback picture of the two of them.

His words read  - “She's getting married today... and I've spent an hour and a half rewriting this.

“Crying, smiling, and preparing to let go… of my little girl. I will walk her down the aisle, then I will officiate the wedding.

“Why? Because I'm selfish, for my little girl. And she asked her daddy to! How could I say no?! I pray I don't make a fool of myself and cry more than I speak.

“God, it's so hard to release her. If I could I would keep her a little girl, FOREVER. Selfish, I know. But at this moment, I want to be.

"I want to go go- kart riding, jet skiing, middle school basketball games, movies over and over again....just me and her. This is hard as Hell. She has no idea, cause she's not a daddy. I am. A proud one. I hope I was a good one.

"I'm sorry for that one spanking you got that killed me more than it did you! I'm proud and love your future husband. Jealous, but proud.

"He comes first now. I'll have to get used to that, cause I'm selfish, for you.

"Only pictures get stuck in time, not people. They grow, and need to be let go.... I'm going to try really hard,...but please, when I see you with your new life, let me hold you every now and then, and pretend....that I'm never letting go.
