THE NEW SANDRA BULLOCK MOVIE, "BIRD BOX" BREAKS NETFLIX RECORD WITH 45 MILLION + VIEWS IN ITS FIRST WEEK

The New movie, Bird Box, starring American star, Sandra Bullock breaks records for the streaming service, Netflix

The company announced in a tweet that more than 45 million Netflix accounts have now streamed “Bird Box,” which set a new record for the best-ever first week for a Netflix film.

“Bird Box” is also riding a wave of high-concept horror movies. The film has been compared to the successful thriller “A Quiet Place,” which had monsters that hunted by sound while “Bird Box” monsters are a threat only if they’re seen — hence all the blindfolds.

The film has benefited from word-of-mouth recommendations, too, including one from Stephen King who suggested horror fans should ignore the critics‘ bad reviews. And it has been the subject of numerous memes, which made it something of a viral, cult sensation across social media. That could have prompted more people to watch just to get in on the joke.

Plus, the movie is a holiday release — it dropped on Netflix on December 21 — a time when many people are off work and have the time to stream.

In Bird Box, Bullock plays a mother of two children desperately trying to survive in a world overrun with monsters who can kill you just by being seen. The trio wander blindfolded through deadly terrain, struggling to find safety or shelter while facing danger at every turn.

The film has been a topic of conversation on social media, with many users poking fun at the film and creating hilarious memes.

Nigerian Gospel Artist/Worship Leader, Dunsin Oyekan has released another hit single, "Imole De (Light Has Come)

Speaking about the song, he shares: " Imole De (Light Has Come) - SEE A GREAT LIGHT - At Christmas, Jesus broke through the devil’s darkness, as had been prophesied centuries before: “the people that sat in darkness have seen a great light” (Mt 4:16; Isaiah 9:2). That light has shone ever since, and the darkness has never been able to put it out (Jn 1:5).

Dunsin Oyekan is a Nigerian Gospel song writer, composer, producer, instrumentalist and worship leader born into a rich heritage of Grace with his father being a pastor and a pioneer of the Pentecostal move. 

He has been a seasoned guitarist from the age of 10.

He started the award winning choir, The Avalanche of COZA as the Music director for many years and has shared stages with notable names in the industry such as Tasha Cobbs, Kurt Carr, Don Moen, Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, William Murphy, his spiritual mother, Kim Burrell to mention a few.
