"Rooftop MCs are back at it again.
In preparation for their fifth album - "CROSSEYED: Minority Report II" scheduled for release in the month of September, The duo are putting out their very first MIXTAPE - "SERIES: Season One" to prepare the grounds before then.
In a fashion, that's typical of them, Soulsnatcha (@snatcha) & Sokleva (@mistarHughes) will once again use their unique take on pop culture to create music. The concept behind the mixtape is simply a play on popular TV shows from within & outside Nigeria- taking Popular TV series, in some instances, sample the theme music & use them to tell a story.
"We enjoy a lot of these TV shows and they have become a steady source of entertainment for people everywhere so I just told Kleva let's do this and that's how we got to work" says Snatcha.
The music will be released by putting out a new song every Sunday in the month of March 2012 via the group's official twitter handle @rtmcsupdates, Facebook fanpage (Rooftop-MCs), blogs and social media networks using the Hasgtag #SeriesSundays.
The complete body of work will be put out on the first Sunday in the month of April 01-04-2012 (and No! it isn't an April fools gimmick). The mixtape features production from and is also hosted by UK based producer Shabach Nwaname (@shabachnwaname) of Beautiful Soundz.
