The Kuchi Kuchi crooner, J'odie has just released the video to her latest single, “African Woman” , the title track off her debut album. Expressing the virtues and beauty of an African Woman, the video was beautiful directed by Imoh Umoren and showcases J'odie on the dance floor too. A must see, indeed!!
ABOUT J'ODIE
J’odie, real name Joy Eseoghene Odiete, is a Nigerian recording artiste, widely known as a runner-up on the popular, West African Idol contest, featuring Timi Dakolo and Omawumi. She recently achieved great critical acclaim with her hit single “Kuchi Kuchi (Oh Baby)“ which was a huge sensation across Nigeria and Africa. Right on its heels came her second single, "Under the Mango Tree" and the release of her fantastic 10 track debut album, with its matured songwriting, amazing vocal delivery and unique sound, finally seals the deal that J'odie is indeed one of the top female R&B artistes in Nigeria at the moment.
The album "AFRICAN WOMAN" consisting of unforgettable ballads and sounds such as "My Own Story", "Right Now", "Oh Mama" and many more was largely produced by top Nigerian producer Wole Oni with "Kuchi Kuchi" produced by Phat E. All songs in the album were also written, and composed by J’odie.
The album is truly a collector's item and each song leaves you asking for more...One of the best albums to come out of Nigeria lately, i must say.
