NEWSFLASH: THERE'S A NEW "CHURCH ON THE MOON" & USHER'S MUM GOT A HAND IN IT!

Futuristic, funkdafied and full of praise and worship: if you have a hard time connecting those adjectives with sanctified music, then perhaps you've never heard of the phenomenal Deitrick Haddon. Ever since his professional debut in the 1995 with The Voices of Unity, the 37-year-old Detroit native has taken his elastic vocal range and enthusiastically-eclectic production style beyond his home church to a worldwide audience.
His most recent hit single "He's Able" took the world by storm and Nigeria wasn't spared as every church in Nigeria and all over the world made an anthem out of that song.
.
Now out with a new album, Church on the Moon, holding steady at #4 on BillBoard Gospel Charts for 11 weeks, his first musical project in nearly three years, its one of Mr. Haddon's most imaginative offerings yet, blending spiritual and soulful messages of hope and healing that will move practically anyone within hearing range.
With 19 tracks, ....Moon is an ambitious undertaking, Deitrick takes the listener on a journey to the Moon, literally. Not your everday church sound, he's gone "futuristically ballistic" on this one -a creatively cohesive album, pairing conventional-sounding songs with more modern offerings. With the hard-hitting hip-hop track "Reppin' The Kingdom," an Auto-Tuned and ‘chopped-n-screwed' track featuring Tye Tribbet, J. Moss, Canton Jones and the rap debut of Deitrick's cousin, T-Haddy and many more hit tracks like "Well Done", "Fighting Temptations", Deitrick's got just one line for ya - "God can do ANYTHING!!"
People said we would never put a man on the moon but we did.  If he can given men the knowledge and wisdom to do that, then he can do ANYTHING!!

Recently Deitrick tweeted that Jonnetta Patton, Usher’s mother, is helping to manage his career.

Usher famously fired his mom in 2007 and then considered bringing her back in 2008 once his album sales were low. For Deitrick, he says "I'm excited Jonetta Patton is managing me. She believes in me completely and encourages me to do something new and fresh. We have had a great relationship and i am looking forward to all our great plans. She really gets my project and understands music and the business. It's a great partnership. It's been a good match for me professionaly."

Deitrick Haddon's new project "Church on the Moon" is garnering critical acclaim in gospel and secular mainstream in the United States.
And trust Naija peeps, we catch on pretty fast. (*wink)

Listen to Repping the Kingdom feat Tye Tribbett, T-Haddy, Canton Jones, J Moss and lets have CHURCH ON THE MOON! Amen Somebody!
