WAHALA DEY O! THERE'S A MAD MAN ON THE LOOSE... INTRODUCING "BASE ONE"

From the stables of the fast rising entertainment company, Wahala Media Entertainment, which has successfully launched off the amazing career of female songstress/perfomer, Nikki Laoye and is also presently leaving the sweet-smelling trail of great music in the form of the sugar-filled R&B/Reggae genius, SugarBoy A1, is now arising the third element to the amazing Wahala Trio mix,a new phenomenal artiste on our platform...
*drum roll* ......Introducing..wait a min! Let me allow him to introduce himself...(passing the pen over...)

“You can call me OLUWABASE aka BASE ONE, the MadMan ‘cause am lyrically insane”

No be me talk am o! You heard it by yourself o...LOL!
Base One’s personal introduction of his music persona says it all.
Quietly raising dust underground since 2006, Base One can simply be tagged “Naija’s HipHop’s best kept secret”.  In that year, a coincidental meeting with the young man who would blow his ideas sky high and serve his lyrics on a platter of hit making beats – ace producer Ade ‘Xblaze’ Laoye, (who has produced major hits songs for the likes of ModeNine, Nikki Laoye, Blaise and many more), got his musical career off to a good start when he recorded and released a couple of demo singles including “Five Fingas”, “Singbere” and “Kondo Tayin”, which received massive radio airplay at that time.

Born Ayomipo Isaac Sotunde on March 24, 1988, Base One (now a final year undergraduate at the Lagos State University(Nigeria),would for the next couple of years, stay focused on his Banking and Finance University degree while he went back to the drawing board with producers Xblaze and  Gray J’onz.
The end result: Two new hit singles “Surulere” and “Werey Re o!”, giving you a clearer view of the amazing lyrical genius called Base One.

With a style so intriguing, Base One is rapidly re-stirring the ripple effect caused by the phenomenal late Nigerian HipHop artiste, Da Grin, who he’s constantly compared to due to their similar musical delivery.
Asserting that his style of music was acquired on and is for the “streets”, led to the creation of his own acronym, BASE ONE which stands for “Be A Street Entertainer” (BASE) and the number One representing his uniqueness.
Combining his love for music from HipHop greats like Krs One, SnoopDogg, Lil Wayne and the positive influence of the Yoruba lifestyle of his Ayobo Hood in Ipaja where he was raised, hence produced his style of delivery which is an intelligent mix of street language and slangz in his native Yoruba dialect alongside English Language.
Recently, Base One decided to pitch his tent under the management of Wahala Media Entertainment, who also manage the careers of top female artiste, Nikki Laoye and R&B artist, SugarBoy A1.
The video to the first hit single, “Surulere” (Produced by Gray Jon’z and Xblaze), directed by upcoming video director, Seun Williams , is finally on its way to a TV screen near you.
The word is out….there’s a “MadMan” on the loose and his name is BASE ONE…
