KIKI OMEILI, JOSEPH BENJAMIN, AND TONTO DIKE WIN BIG AT THE 17TH AFRICAN FILM AWARDS!!!


Earlier in the year, we introduced you to one of Nollywood's newest shining stars and we at Waholaaa predicted big things for her.

We are glad to let you know that the adorable Nollywood diva Kiki Omeili just bagged the Award for Best Supporting Actress in an English Language Film at the 17th African Film Awards, for her break out role of Titi Haastrup in "Married but Living Single".

The "Behind the Smile" actress came up against the some of the best of Nollywood as she battled for the crown with veterans Nse Ikpe Etim and Oge Okoye, while Tonto Dike bagged the Best Actress of the Year Award, beating Omoni Oboli and Chika Ike.

The biggest win of the night went to pretty boy Joseph Benjamin who won the African Actor of the Year Award, beating Ghana's Van Vicker, and South Africa's Japhta Mamabolo.

The award ceremony held at the prestigious Stratford Town Hall, in the UK on Saturday 3rd November, 2012 and was well attended by African and British-African Actors and Actresses as well as other notable faces in African Film and entertainment.
