Wow!! And the plot thickens in the Chocolate City vs Brymo drama, as in a twist of events this morning, pictures of the said the court papers have appeared on the internet.
Earlier yesterday morning, news broke out that a court injunction has been taken against the Nigerian singer during the week. Chocolate City via their law firm, L & A -Legal Consultants have early this week gotten an injunction from the Federal High Court, restraining Brymo from recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organization other than Chocolate City, pending the determination of the suit against him.
In the past few weeks, Brymo has been tweeting and granting different interviews, telling all that he had walked away from his contract with CC, (which according to Chocolate City, remains valid until 2016) and did not care about the consequences.
Stories getting to us from our sources at the court, say that Chocolate City, through its lawyers tried everything possible to amicably resolve this matter, that infact the Arbitration clause in the recording contract was activated to avoid a court case and an Arbitrator was called up to settle the matter but Brymo refused to attend any of the settlement meetings. The record label , at this point seems to have had no other option but to protect their investment by going to court.
In response, Brymo put out a tweet yesterday, denying this new development,
as he continued plans to release his new album, sometime today.
Its for real now though...Brymo at this junction either gets a lawyer or settles with his choc fam..

Yup... Brymo need a darn good lawyer or he'll just have to swallow his pride and pay homage to the city...
