NIKKI LAOYE WINS 5TH AWARD OF 2014 AT THE INTERNATIONAL ALL AFRICA MUSIC AWARDS (AFRIMA).



Top Nigerian Inspirational singer, Nikki Laoye has emerged winner of the Best Female Artiste in African Inspirational Music category at the 2014 All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA,held on Saturday, December 27, at the Grand Ballroom, Oriental Hotel, Lagos Nigeria. 

Nikki was nominated alongside other inspirational artistes from across Africa including Monique (Nigeria), Gore Rapera (Zimbabwe) , Marema (Senegal), Sessime (Benin), Size 8 (Kenya).

AFRIMA is an international award organised by The International Committee of AFRIMA and its partner, the African Union Commission, which brings together some of the best talents from the five regions of the African continent. The event, which was hosted by Nigeria's 2Face Idibia and Togo’s bilingual radio and TV personality, Maryse Acotie witnessed awards picked up in 31 categories by Africa's best musical acts. 

Other awards earlier won by Nikki Laoye include Best Female Artist-Africa(AGMA,UK); Best Soft Rock/Alternative Video - Only You (NMVA); Best Worship Song - Only You (CRYSTAL AWARDS) and a special recognition humanitarian award - "Ambassador of Charity 2014" .

It has been a great year of recognition for Nikki Laoye, who is well renowned for her philantropic contributions to the society, as she was also unveiled as the Celebrity Voice for Refugees by the Federal Government establishment, NCFRMI (National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced persons), SouthWest Nigeria earlier on this year. Also the founder of Angel 4 Life Foundation, singer Nikki Laoye helps to provide empowerment, social and educational development for people with disabilities (visually impaired and physically challenged youths).

The hardworking singer recently released her sophomore album, "The 123 Project" which is now available at media stores (The Hub Media Store, Palms Mall Lekki) and on iTunes.
 She has also shot the video to her new dance hit single, "African Dance", featuring her brother/producer,Xblaze. The video is slated for release in January 2015.
