Ace Music Director and Choir trainer Anthony Livingstone is set to launch his talent hunt project Artist From Scratch. Tony Livingstone is a veteran in contemporary gospel music with an impressive track record and he is about to take it a notch higher with the launch of his Talent hunt project which will serve as a medium to recruit fresh gospel voices and groom them into successful gospel musicians and ministers.
Artistes who make it through the talent hunt and Artist Academy will be signed to Livingstone Records and Management Company.

MORE ABOUT TONY LIVINGSTONE
Anthony Livingstone has been an active Music Director for over 25 years. Together with his wife Dolapo, they were a popular Gospel Music Duo in the ‘90s known as Dee & Dee. She went on to release her album ‘Across the land’ which sold out in the first week.
Anthony Livingstone was the keyboardist of the then gospel jazz band – Emerald that staged popular concerts in churches across the nation also in the ‘90s.
He is a prolific songwriter who single-handedly wrote most of the songs in an album – Sing for Joy for the then choir of the church-Christ Family Assembly (aka WOCOM) where he served as Music Director.
His contemporary operas drew crowds throughout the length and breadth of the Western States of Nigeria in the 90s in churches such as Scripture Pasture Christian Centre and Christ Family Assembly in Ibadan.
He is the author of THE CHOIR BIBLE – an instructional manual on how to sing Tonic Sol-fa that includes a compilation of popular contemporary gospel choir songs by notable artistes such as Kurt Carr Singers, Donald Lawrence and the Tri-city Singers, Kirk Franklin, TyeTribette and many more all scored out in Tonic Sol-fa.
A writer, he also authored and published the Christian fantasy novel -THE VIGIL!
From 2000 – 2004, he served as Associate Music Director with the National Mass Choir of Liberia.
From 2005 – 2008, he was music director of House on the Rock Lagos and even as far back as the late 80’s had been music director of various churches conducting several seminars and workshops for various choirs in Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, Ife, etc.
He has also conducted several choir seminars for churches such as Global Harvest Church, Daystar Christian Centre, Covenant Christian Centre, House of Mercy, Living Waters Church and many more; and his Outfit (Tony Livingstone Konsults) now runs an annual training program called CHOIR ACADEMY where choristers from different churches come together under the same roof to receive training in various aspects of vocal technique, keyboarding&music literacy from his invited guest facilitators notable of whom have been K-Stickss – Music Director Daystar Christian Centre, WOLE ADESANYA – Renowned Keyboardist/ CEO of Greenland Music Productions; ONOS – Multiple Award winning gospel artiste, ‘Bishop’ Moses Afolayan – Music Director of Latter Rain Assemblies and many more over the years!
For now, there is no school of contemporary gospel music in Nigeria and Tony Livingstone’s dream is to set up anARTISTE ACADEMY – a University of Gospel Music where musicians and singers can come and pursue their passion and be empowered at the end of the course to go out and raise the standard of excellence in our music industry.
Tony Livingstone currently runs a group page on Facebook by the name CHOIR ACADEMY to which over 600 choristers are subscribed.
He has fashioned out over the years a unique Course Content specifically designed to train the ears of singers/choristers to be able to recognize sounds by name the same way musicians do. The Course is named – TONE RECOGNITION SKILLS.
He believes that the training of the voice is not sufficient for any singer to be able to sing advanced harmony as it is done in the Western world, hence there must be a corresponding training of the ear.
