May7ven has joined a host of celebrities on the streets of London on their quest to raise money and awareness for the homeless at Christmas time.
The ‘Ten Ten’ Afrobeat Queen swapped her cosy bed alongside Faith Child, Mercedes, Victizzle, Utter Once, A Star, Deborah and Mark Happi for a night sleeping rough for Centrepoint annual SleepOut project.
UPRISE TV will air a special Christmas day episode to raise awareness of the growing issue in the capital. The episode will also feature the outreach efforts of organisations such as Centrepoint, The Big Issue, Jesus Loves Me and the work of students at Enfield Grammar School.
The Big Issue CEO, Stephen Robertson will be speaking on the initiatives the organisation have in place to help people in difficult situations.
Do not miss out on the special episode Uprise Sleep Out special (Uprise Music Show) on Christmas day, Monday 25th December at 15:00 GMT, only on OH TV SKY Channel 199.
Do your bit to support the UPRISE team and May7ven as they reach out to the homeless this Christmas! They aim to raise funds for Centrepoint, the UK's leading charity for homeless young people.
Visit the JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/uprise and donate whatever you can to support the campaign. It can be as small as sacrificing lunch money or your morning trip to the coffee shop! OH TV Directors are also giving up one week’s wages towards the cause!
May7ven said: “I was once homeless and understand the plight of young homeless people in London. I am very passionate about the project and vow to hit the set target of raising £100k for the charity CenterPointUK”.
