Captivating singer, Nikki Laoye is certainly on a roll. Since the release of her two hit singles, "123" and "Only You", the singer has been receiving numerous nominations across the globe including the African Gospel Music Awards in the United Kingdom.
On 1st of December 2013, her dance hit song "123", won the "Song of the Year" category for the Nigeria Gospel Music Awards.
Barely, few days after, Nikki Laoye was announced as a nominee for the "Best Female Vocal Performance" for her other single, the unforgettable ballad, "Only You" in the 2013 Headies Awards, holding on Boxing Day, December 26th, 2013.
Pitched against other top Nigerian female vocalists- Waje, Niyola, Seyi Shay and Zaina, it's a non-voting category, with the winner to be decided by the voting board.
Popularly known as the Nigerian Grammy Awards, The Headies is one of the most anticipated award events of the Nigerian Music Industry.
Highly respected for her mainstream appeal, Nikki Laoye is the only Contemporary Gospel Artiste nominated in this year's edition.
