EBUBEDIKE (THE RAPPER FORMERLY KNOWN AS KAGE) DEBUTS ‘THE RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL SON’

Born Ndubisi N. Nwandu on the 8th of July in the 1970s, the Rapper formerly known as KAGE gave his Life to Christ in 2013. A year later he decided to switch his game and recorded a gospel-infused rap single ‘Nara Ekele’, which won him his first ever award at the Mega Awards for Best Hip hop single in 2014.

He goes by the moniker EBUBEDIKE which literally means "The Glory/Aura of A Warrior”. According to him, God gave him the inspiration for the name and he intends to fulfil all that the name entails, because in his words, ‘A Lion doesn’t give birth to a Dog’.

The talented rapper, who is also a singer/song writer, voiceover artiste, Impressionist, compere, and actor has recently floated His Own Record Label “Warrior Entertainment”

His debut Album "The Return Of The Prodigal Son” was unveiled on Saturday 9th August, 2015 at a cosy event at the Prime Chinese Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event provided an opportunity for the Artiste to introduce some of the songs from the album to his fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, as he performed several tracks from the album to the admiration and excitement of the audience; he also took out time to explain the stories behind some of the songs.

Some of the celebrities present at the event were Chris Ubosi (CEO Beat Fm), Singer Nikki Laoye and her husband Alex Oturu, Uche Nnaji (OUCH), Nollywood Actress, Amanda Ebeye, Editor of Complete Fashion/Hello Magazine, DJ Stramborella (Official DJ of PSquare).

Some of the highlights of the event were the performances by guest artistes including Nikki Laoye, as well as the launching of the album proper, which saw guests launching the album for various amounts.

The album’s unique flow puts it in a class of its own, as Ebubedike moves seamlessly across various genres of music, from reggae to pop and hardcore hiphop, showing his lyrical dexterity and musical versatility. Across all his songs, his message is clear, trust In God, accept Jesus and Let His Holy spirit Guide you In all Things.
