ARTS: "TO LOVE A GHOST" - THE SYNOPSIS (SHOWING @ TERRA CULTURE VI - 26TH MAY 2013 - 3PM & 6PM)

Lois, a young and naive girl has been betrayed by the very institutions that should have protected her. And now, she is stuck!….Stuck in Limbo waiting to die! Her bitterness and  frustration is expressed in the tale ….a long walk in the corridor of life paved with anguish and despair.

I am…was…is…who am I? What am i? …a GHOST?

To Love A Ghost tells the intriguing yet gripping story of the travails of child abuse, a disturbing trend that continues to be rampant in our society and even the world over.
The story revolves around a young girl, Lois, who learns about life and love a little too fast and a little too hard. She is abused and maltreated by people who should give her protection and guidance in her journey through life.

Drawing from the theatrical arsenal of suspense, humour and unnerving reality, Ita Hozaife, the playwright brings into dramatic reality, the vicissitudes of the life of the protagonist.
The playwright dramatizes the many contradictions of life whilst the play’s thematic thrust brings to the mind Mahatma Ghandi’s assertion decades ago that, “The world has enough to satisfy man’s need, but not enough for his greed.”
