Multi-talented and multiple award winning trio, Brand New Generation, popularly referred to simply as BNG, have finally released the Official Music Video for their smash hit collaboration with Mike Abdul of Midnight Crew titled "Raise Your Hands". The video also features short cameo appearances by Jedi (comedian), Nikki Laoye and Pastor J.
BNG explains the concept behind the song: “Raise Your Hands” is a song that essentially talks about the perpetual victory we have in Christ. It is an upbeat celebration anthem. Just like the winning side in a football game would raise their hands and scream ecstatically celebrating a victory, we encourage you to “Raise your Hands” and celebrate the victory we know we have in this life and beyond.
Now let’s talk bible. Firstly, the song takes root in the Hebrew word “Yadah”. Yadah means to wilfully throw your hands up to praise with power. Again, in Exodus 17:11, whenever Moses raised his hand, the Israelites prevailed.
BNG believes that the action of raising your hands means you surrender to God, When you surrender to God the situations and circumstances of this life will surrender to you. Now that you know this, “Raise Your Hands”, let’s dance and celebrate our perpetual and eternal victory.”
